Alemany is a 'holding of 4 acres, fully functioning urban motorway between a great location, a newly gentrified neighborhood on a hill and a residential project, the ideal place to grow food! We have a tour (and some wonderful fruit) from Antonio Roman-Alcalá, Volunteer Coordinator and soon blogger / video to be an extraordinary documentary. The work of Alemany Farm proves the point that urban agriculture and local food production is possible and absolutely necessary for the healthand welfare of the city and its inhabitants. Local agriculture and horticulture are familiar with great motivation for people to learn to eat healthier and stronger, where their food and what it actually is (olives grow on trees? Broccoli is a flower?) Composites. If you live in the SF Bay Area, you can visit or volunteer at Alemany Farm at the weekend visits AlemanyFarm.org.
